Dogs. Man best friend since the beginning. (I think...) I think that pets are really important in a teens life. I just got a dog and I just, kinda, feel complete I guess. I had always begged and begged and made sooo many promises. I made contracts. When I hit 12 I just gave up. My hermit crab was the only thing I got. Then I moved to CO. and my best friends were thousands of miles away. I had no one. My mom surprised  the CHICKEN out of me! She was looking for a dog! I got so excited! My Shelby is awesome! She plays fetch and curls up by me when Im watching T.V., and loves to be scratched behind the ear!

Pets are there for when you need to talk to someone, but you don't want them to answer. Tell them how your feeling.  They don't care what you say, as long as your loving on them.  Like I said. I feel complete! Taking care of your pet shows you how to work with an animal. Not everyone needs or wants a pet. That is your choice. But its always good to have someone to count on! No matter what animal they are! HAHA!
