I just wanted to talk to you guys about You. You are amazing even if you think you aren't. I just recently went to my churches girls camp, and at the end of the week we have testimony meeting. We bear our testimonies about things that we believe in. A lot of the girls (including me) talked about girls camp and how it helped them feel loved. They love how they dont feel pressured to be the prettiest or the smartest or the thinnest. They can just be themselves, and for once they can love themselves for it.
We get caught up in the everyday things and it weakens us and lowers our self esteem. At the end of the day you have to love yourself for who you are, flaws and all. Tell yourself you are beautiful because you really are. Write down the things you dont like about yourself, and then rip it up, burn it, or throw it away. Then take the things you hate and turn it positively. You know what I love myself for this. I love myself for being that way.
I used to hate my big hands. From the bottom of my palm to the top of my middle finger is 7 inches. Exactly.
But as I sat down at my piano one day, I learned to love my big fat hands. They could reach more than an octave*. For a pianist, that is pretty awesome.
You are here for something, and even though you don't know what it is doesn't make you useless.
Go love yourself and dont let anyone put you down.
You dont need someone to tell you that you are amazing.
Because You are you! That is truer than true. There is no one else that is Youer than you.
*an octave on a piano is 8 keys. I can reach 10 no problem:)
